Visualization and Collaboration:
Rasterex provides three different alternatives for multi format viewing, printing, markup and collaboration.
All three alternatives are built on the same core technology, with the same feature sets and format support, but differenciated for running in different environments. The Desktop Viewer is a fully featured Windows application, while the Fat ActiveX control and the Thin Client Solution are facilitated with methods and properties for working over web or from inside any VB/MFC/Delphi/Web application. This gives users the freedom to choose the solution that best matches their own environment and IT strategy.
APIs and Toolkits for developers:
Many developers are working on solutions for document management. It can be a VB/Delphi/MFC application or a web solution. During the process, they get to a point where they start looking for technology to enhance their solution with multi format viewing, printing, conversion and markup capabilities. Either as a ready made component they can integrate out-of-the-box, or as APIs, tools and components available at code level. Rasterex has made all the underlying technology available at all levels. Open APIs, function specific COM objects and ActiveX components can be programmed directly into any solution by code, or by objects that are fully customizable and integratable.
Raster Editing and Raster to Vector Conversion:
Rasterex provides two options for Raster Editing and Raster to Vector Conversion. One of them - the RxAutoImage - is an ARX application running inside AutoCAD, turning AutoCAD into a true hybrid editor. The other one - RxSpotlight - is an equivalent solution for Windows.
Scanned drawings can be cleaned up, edited and modified with a set of sophisticated tools. The cleaned-up raster image can then be converted into vector information for further processing in CAD and GIS environments.
